Trellis for Labor Day

Can you believe that Labor Day is coming up next week? Although the summer flew by, it doesn’t mean that you still can’t enjoy some of our favorite warm-weather activities, including an al fresco meal here at Trellis. We hope that you will consider joining us over the three-day weekend for a meal (or two!) with family and friends. There are a few activities that make it the perfect time to come out to Oregon Wine Country for the day to enjoy the area as summer begins to wind down.

Winery Open Houses

Many wineries in the area offer open houses during the Labor Day weekend to draw in crowds. These events are the perfect opportunity to tour the vineyard and learn more about the process of winemaking. If you have a particular winery in mind that you’d like to visit, give them a call to see if they are offering any special events over the long weekend.

Live Music

In addition to the open houses, a few wineries will be hosting live music events this Labor Day weekend, and you don’t want to miss out! Tumwater Vineyards (located about 30 minutes away in West Linn) will be hosting a concert from Hit Machine on Monday, September 5th from 1-4 pm. It’s the perfect time to enjoy some live music for a bit, then head over to Trellis for a dinner to wind down the weekend. Another live concert that is a bit closer by in Newberg will be taking place at Parrett Mountain Cellars also on the 5th from 1-4 pm. Steve Hale will be performing his brand of blue-eyed-soul-Americana-pop and is a great option that is closer to wine country if you are planning to spend the entire weekend here.

Leisurely Meals

If you simply want to make good food a priority this Labor Day Weekend, Trellis is open for you to come in and enjoy a tasty meal! Our outdoor patio is the perfect setting for a warm-weather meal or drinks with friends. Since it is the holiday weekend, we recommend calling us in advance to make a reservation to secure your spot. We’d love to see you this weekend to celebrate as summer begins to wind down!
