Experience Fall’s Beauty in the Willamette Valley Wine Country:

At Trellis, we take immense pride in being rooted in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Our menu reflects the bounty of the Pacific Northwest, featuring seasonal produce and wines lovingly crafted by passionate winemakers. But our celebration of this incredible region doesn’t stop with food and drink. We’re thrilled to announce the unveiling of a new art exhibit at Trellis, showcasing the exquisite works of Toni and Steve Tyree, a talented couple whose artistry captures the essence of the Willamette Valley.

Meet the Artists - Toni and Steve Tyree:

Toni Tyree

Toni Tyree’s artistic journey began with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Fresno State University in California. Over the years, she has refined her craft through various watercolor workshops, including a memorable experience painting in the islands of Greece. Toni’s current home in the Eola Hills outside of Amity, Oregon, provides a constant source of inspiration, from the dramatic atmospheric changes of the Oregon skyline to the ever-evolving landscapes.

Her work reflects a love for the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, as well as her fondness for florals and still lifes. Beyond her personal artistic pursuits, Toni has contributed to the arts community as a graphic artist, gallery sales associate, and volunteer art teacher in local schools. She is an active member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and has participated in the Yamhill County Art Harvest Studio Tour, a beloved annual event showcasing the region’s finest talent.

Steve Tyree

Steve Tyree’s artistic roots run deep, beginning during his childhood in Guam and the Hawaiian Islands, where he watched his father work as a freelance artist. Surrounded by creativity, Steve and his siblings explored various art forms, including drawing, painting, carving, and model building. Steve’s fascination with wildlife led him to Alaska and Florida, where he began filming birds before settling in Oregon to focus on sculpture.

Over the years, Steve has developed a unique style of creating wildlife sculptures from bronze sheet metal and rod. His process involves bending, hammering, and welding these materials into rigid yet dynamic pieces that exude movement and vitality. His intricate works celebrate the beauty of the natural world and have been featured in numerous exhibits throughout the PNW, including at wineries throughout Yamhill County and the renowned Allison Inn and Spa.

A Celebration of the Willamette Valley:

For decades, the Willamette Valley’s natural beauty and vibrant community have served as a muse for artists. Toni and Steve Tyree’s works are a testament to this inspiration, capturing the flora and fauna of the region with breathtaking precision and heart. Their art has been exhibited at prominent venues across the valley, and now, we’re honored to bring their creations to Trellis.

Our new exhibit not only celebrates the Tyrees’ immense talent but also highlights our commitment to showcasing the richness of the Pacific Northwest’s artistic and culinary heritage. As you dine at Trellis, you’ll be surrounded by the Tyrees’ stunning paintings and intricate metal sculptures, each telling a story of the valley’s splendor.
