At Trellis, we are passionate about offering our guests a taste of the bounty that surrounds us in the Willamette Valley and wine is one of the quintessential parts of it. Being at the foothills of Dundee Hills, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to visit the myriad of amazing wineries around us and learn first-hand from the local winemakers about their distinct craft and the amazing wines that are produced right here in the heart of the Willamette Valley.

In the center of Dundee Hills, amidst the lush greenery and rolling vineyards, lies Granville Wine Company. Our team had the privilege of stepping into this picturesque setting, welcomed by the warmth of Granville's crackling fireplace and the aroma of world-class wines.
Crafting Wines with Distinction:
Granville Wine Co. is the life’s work of second-generation wine growers Ayla and Jackson Holstein. Their vision is evident in every aspect of their estate vineyard and winery, where they craft wines with utmost distinction and typicity. As Jackson said in his interview for The Wine Write,”…my real goal is to capture time and place in my wines.”
Honoring Tradition & Embracing Innovation:
The Holstein Estate Vineyard, located on Jackson’s childhood property, is the heart of Granville's winemaking process. Here, a unique level of focus and attention to detail is placed on organic growing practices year-round, ensuring purity of source and expressing the true terroir of the region. As Wendell Berry eloquently puts it, "What I stand for is what I stand on," and at Granville, they stand for excellence, tradition, and the vibrant spirit of Oregon wines.
Their phenomenal wine crafting starts in the vineyard. Once hand harvested and in the cellar, the fruit is nurtured through fermentation and gently ushered to rest utilizing reductive methods along with exclusively tight grained French oak barrels.
Each bottle of Granville wine is a testament to their commitment to quality and tradition. From vine to cellar, Ayla and Jackson, alongside their small team, strive to create wines that not only capture history but also reflect the evolving landscape of winemaking in the Willamette Valley.
